The Musik Meisters is a Nashville based polka band that has been rolling out the barrels with audiences around the United States for over a decade. They have performed every year of the Tennessee Volksfest and we are excited that they will be with us every day both weekends. They will play every hour on the hour starting at 11am each day.
This band is as pure and authentic as it gets. Wearing their Tyrolean attire and singing in German; your heart can only be happy as you move to the polka beat! Come listen to the happy music and raise your stein.....Prost! First set starts at 12 Noon!
Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Uberkrainer is your polka party band, performing a wide assortment of polkas and waltzes from USA, Canada and many European countries such as: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Slovakia. One particular style of Volksmusik, that is authentic music found in the regions between Bavaria, Austria, Slovenia and Northern Italy, Oberkrainer Musik. Since our music group, comprised of accordion, mandolin, upright bass, drums and vocals, performs folk tunes across a much broader region than traditional Volksmusik, we thought it only fitting (and humorous) to call ourselves Uberkrainer— über (German for "beyond") and krainer, a tip of our alpine hats to the Slavic music roots.
Additional entertainment will include a kid zone, and flat screen tv's in the beer garden showing each days sporting events.
The Tennessee Volksfest is proud to support Ride for Reading. A portion of proceeds from the Tennessee Volksfest will help support the mission of Ride for Reading.
